| Christine Waterman completed her Pilates teacher training in London, England in 2002 through the BODY CONTROL PILATES® Association. The BCPA is Europe's leading professional body for Pilates teachers and is widely seen as a quality standard for Pilates today. All BCPA members work to a laid-down Code of Practice governing teaching standards, class sizes, professional ethics and continuing education. Christine is also a member in good standing with the Pilates Association of Canada.
Since completing her teacher training for mat work and reformer work, Christine has completed specialty courses for:

* Pilates for Children
* Wobble Boards
* Large & Small Physio (stability) Balls
* Pilates for Golf
* Smart Spine Conditioning
Continuing her education she has completed workshops with Master Instructors Rachel Segel (Boulder, Co), Marie-Jose Blom-Lawrence (Long Beach, Ca) and Amy Alpers (Boulder, Co). She has also taken workshops with movement specialist Thomas Myers and is a Pilates for Golf conditioning specialist after receiving certification from Sarah Christensen .
Since moving back to B.C. in March 2003, Christine was teaching out of two very well-respected studios in Vancouver. Returning to her home town of Kamloops in January 2006, she has opened her own Pilates studio providing private, semi-private and small group sessions on both the mat and reformer.
Her small class sizes allow great attention to detail enabling clients to work on raising body awareness in a relaxed atmosphere. Her goal is to teach clients to bring Pilates into their day to day routine working on building strength from the inside out. |
